Corktown Health Center

Description:

Our Goals

In addition to requiring the same basic health care needs as the rest of the population, the LGBTQ community faces unique health disparities largely attributable to intersectional forms of discrimination that negatively impact overall health. Corktown Health’s goal is to provide the LGBTQ community with safe, high quality, and affirming health care; as well as to identify and address unmet health needs.

Our Team

Our professional and diverse staff are dedicated to serve and enhance the well-being of Southeast Michigan’s LGBTQ community.

The Tobacco Cessation Program team provides patient-centered services focused on tobacco use reduction and helps current tobacco users quit by gaining access to medical care and resources. The team also works to prevent tobacco use initiation and to reduce tobacco-related diseases and improve overall health outcomes.
